Fuck, man. Every time I get close to affording a proper vintage of 911, it scampers right back out of reach. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Shit the bed. Man, I want an old rotted 911 so bad.

Wowee that one looks like a great car

Yeah, nice ones are, cheaper ones will correct that price on their own in time! I got my 240Z pretty cheap way back and worked on it over time. People leave notes on it all the time, I have a box of them. One offered me $20k. But like Jerry Seinfeld says, its a dead guy car, this car only changes hands when somebody dies (Speaking of his 73' RS)

I hear you, brother.
Same thing for me wanting a E36 M3 for a daily driver. A couple years ago I could have bought a damn nice one for well under $10k. Not now. Fuck me for waiting.

It makes sense... G50's are the nicest looking 911 out there.

You know that G50 is the transmission right?
![]() 10/18/2014 at 23:50 |

Could you please state that G50 is actually the hydraulic transmission, rather than a type of 911 please? And a 915 cable clutch transmission isn't bad you know. I hate how everyone instantly says to get a G50 Carrera from '87-89 rather than the 915 trans Carreras from '84-86. They aren't bad dammit!

The thing is that price is only going to go up. Air cooled Porsches that want to kill you, the pure 911s are about to take off.

Trying to make that distinction was going to be way too wordy for the title. All of the 3.2 Carreras are getting stupid, quickly, either way.

You could just change the title to "3.2 Carreras are really comandinf $30k+ now?" instead; I'm sure anyone would know you're referring to 911s. You think you're in a bad position? Try being in college and:
1. Wanting an air-cooled 911, with no money to spend.
2. Wanting a brand new 911 out of college(in 3-4 years) and by then, there will be no naturally aspirated 911s left because they'll all be turbocharged.
You think you have it bad; at least you can feasibly even go out and get a damn 911SC or a G-series from '74-77. -_-

open an account at a credit union who will give you a loan for a classic car
That's the only thing I can think of to help

It seems to me the G50 cars are commanding the premium which regularly pushes them over the $30k mark, for better or worse, which was the whole reason for not making the delineation in the first place.
I've been in college and wanting an air-cooled 911; when I was in college, 993s were still attainable.
I could afford a 3.2 or 964 at this point, but I'm one of those weirdos which believes in a healthy 401K balance, rainy-day fund, and general hyper-fiscal responsibility.

I can think of absolutely no worse use of credit than on a 25 year old 911. I think that point is probably not a concern of yours given your handle, though. I could afford one at the moment, but fiscal responsibility and such is a unfortunate disease.

Haha yeah I'm bad with credit
I have 4 car loans right now

Even 912's are at $30k now....
